Teeth Whitening

We love seeing our Victoria patients smile after getting their teeth whitened from us. There is a whole new confidence that comes with better, whiter teeth. Teeth discolouration is a common, natural, problem as people age. Teeth enamel becomes weaker as it is exposed to acidic food and drinks such as processed food, red wine, and soda, causing erosion and stains. Teeth whitening is a simple and non-invasive procedure to change the colour of your tooth enamel from a yellow to a beautiful, shining white.

Is It Safe?

There are many different types of whitening products on the market that have been clinically tested for more than forty years and have been proven safe by millions of users. These products do not have any adverse effects, nor do they damage your teeth or gums. The only negative experience a patient might have to the procedure is slight teeth sensitivity.

Does It Last?

Unfortunately, teeth whitening procedure is not permanent and it will wear down with time. A touch-up is usually needed every couple of years, and more often if you smoke, drink coffee, tea, or wine.

You should take care of your teeth by brushing and flossing each day as recommended by the dental association. By taking good care of your teeth, the whitening procedure will not only last longer, but you will have healthier teeth overall.
